If I was to pick 3 things I enjoy most, I'd say teaching, helping people move better with massage, Tai Chi and martial arts.
All three have formed a solid basis for everything I do in business and life. My journey started off as a martial artist in junior high, which I still train and teach today. While in high school I signed up for the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry. Shortly after graduating I went off to boot camp, and two combat tours. On my second combat deployment (pictured above) I felt my spine correct itself while I was doing my daily Chi Kung exercises in the sands of Garmsir, Afghanistan. This lead me to pursue a career in acupuncture, that quickly turned into a sole focus on oriental massage therapy, and a continued martial art practice. After graduating from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with my associates degree, I've continued on to become a nationally certified continuing education provider for other massage therapists. I help others advance their careers using our specific methods of Thai Massage, Tui Na, Okazaki, Shiatsu, and Russian influenced Massage supported by martial foundations of Chi Kung, Tai Chi and Kung Fu. Alongside of teaching continuing education courses I'm also an instructor for massage therapists entering the field at Guilford Technical Community College and the head Tai Chi and Chi Kung instructor for Honest Tai Chi. I train in mixed martial arts at Hobbs JW MMA in Concord and regularly help their fighters rehab and troubleshoot a variety of injuries on a consistent basis. I look forward to helping you relax and heal. See you soon. |
